At CN Forklift Training, knowledgeable instructors explain each response, demonstrate the technique, and guide you as you practise. Sessions include group participation, questions, and scenario-based exercises so you can work through what to do in a realistic situation.
You receive feedback on your technique and can ask for clarification as you learn. For workplace groups, we adapt examples to the risks and responsibilities of your employees, including incidents involving equipment, materials, chemicals, and environmental hazards.
After completing your course, you receive a certificate documenting your first aid and CPR training. We also support refresher training to help you revisit response techniques and maintain your skills.
For broader workplace safety needs, we offer WHMIS training. This separate course addresses hazard communication, labels, and safety data sheets. Ask us about safety documentation practices and coordinating your ongoing training needs.

Check the qualification named by your employer. An emergency first aid and CPR course corresponds to the Basic level in Ontario’s current WSIB program; Standard First Aid is now called Intermediate.

WSIB lists eight hours for Basic and 16 hours for Intermediate First Aid. Confirm the timetable for your selected CN course before booking.
Ontario workplace first aid certificates are valid for three years. Your employer may require more frequent CPR refreshers, so check its policy.
No. WSIB does not approve online-only workplace first aid courses. Approved blended programs combine online theory with an in-person practical component.
An eligible Intermediate certificate can be renewed once before expiry through an approved provider. Check your certificate’s level, expiry date, and renewal history before asking CN about available options.
