CN Forklift Training is a forklift and equipment operator school in Mississauga, Ontario. We offer one-on-one, hands-on certification on 18+ machines, from counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to boom lifts and telehandlers, plus safety courses such as WHMIS and Working at Heights. Forklift licence training in Mississauga, Oakville and the GTA
Do you need a forklift licence in Ontario?
Ontario has no government-issued forklift licence. What employers call a forklift licence (often searched as forklift license) is a certificate from a training provider. It shows you completed theory training and passed a practical evaluation on a specific type of equipment. Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation 851 for industrial establishments require employers to make sure every lift truck operator is trained and competent, so most warehouse jobs ask for proof of certification before your first shift.
Certification is equipment-specific. A counterbalance certificate does not cover a reach truck or an order picker, so get certified on the machines the jobs you want actually use.
